Switch to LED Lighting
Lighting accounts for a significant portion of a building's energy consumption, and hence, replacing existing lights with LED bulbs is an effective way to reduce energy consumption and costs. LED bulbs are a newer and more efficient type of lighting, up to 80% more efficient than traditional incandescent or fluorescent bulbs. They use less energy and have a longer lifespan than traditional bulbs, making them an attractive option for buildings looking to reduce their energy consumption and maintenance costs. LED bulbs are also more environmentally friendly, as they do not contain hazardous materials such as mercury.
Converting to LED lighting is inexpensive and simple. LED Bulbs are made that fit in most existing types of fixtures with little or no modification. Switching to LED lighting from traditional lighting technologies often has a payback period of less than one year.
