Use Recycled-Content and Extended Life Antifreeze

Antifreeze, with its inherent properties, can be recycled an unlimited number of times, making it an excellent environmental choice. Recycling antifreeze offers several benefits, including saving time, materials, and energy and reducing pollution-related environmental impacts. It also avoids the possibility of antifreeze becoming hazardous waste and reduces the need for new antifreeze production.

However, it’s important to note that certain products, such as those containing phosphate-based compounds or metal salts (which can be used as supplemental coolant additives), should be avoided when purchasing antifreeze. While extended-life antifreeze may be more expensive than standard types, they can save money in the long run due to their durability.

Extended-life antifreeze provides longer service, enhanced cooling systems for the engine, enhanced anti-corrosive and anti-wear features, improved fuel economy, and reduced maintenance and repair costs. Therefore, recycling antifreeze and using environmentally friendly and long-life antifreeze products are crucial for environmental conservation, worker safety, and overall cost savings in the long run.
